Organisations, agencies and individuals support us in a variety of ways. We receive approximately 50% of our running costs from statutory bodies including the Local Authority, PCT, Drug Action Team, Police and sometimes Central Government Home Office.

But we rely heavily on contributions from Trusts and Charities to whom we bid for financial support. We also rely on charitable donations from companies and organisations that wish to support us. As well as individuals.

The money that we receive from the public sector is put towards staffing costs, employment of the team and some delivery costs.

We need additional money all the time to allow us to operate fully and provide the enhanced services to women we currently offer.

These include:
• Welfare Fund – This covers emergency costs were we have no alternative but to fund an urgent situation such as overnight accommodation for a woman we cannot accommodate, travel costs to get a woman to a place of safety, or a voucher for a meal when we know she has not eaten and had no recourse to public funds. This fund is discretionary and we only use in urgent cases.

• Running Costs – The statutory funding pays for staffing, but not the office costs, travel, data collection and training delivery amongst other roles.

• Bi Annual social event for mothers and children we are working with. Last year it was a cinema trip, previously we have arranged a teddy bears picnic.

If you donate money to ADVANCE you will receive a report detailing what your contribution has funded, and the outcome of that.

If you require any information about where your money is going then feel free to email the project. Also should you wish to sponsor a page on our website as a one off arrangement please let us know. This would be a one off donation; your details and web links can be added to one of our web pages. The amount required would be whatever you consider it to be worth and would be accepted as a donation towards the maintenance of our website.

If you wish to donate towards the project you can do so via Just Giving or by sending us a cheque made payable to ADVANCE.

Other forms of support
Agencies and Individuals also support us in other ways.
• Free services, advice and information for our clients.
• Donated items for fundraising or for the clients directly.
• Donations of time and resources for example, repairs being done at the ADVANCE office, or lock changes being done for the clients who cannot afford them.
• Agencies and organisations have offered us free room space for meetings, free or low cost printing and other work.
